Hey guys! I just wanted to let you all know that today I am officially celebrating my 1 year post relaxer. I know I haven't blogged for a while, been really busy lately, feels like time has just flown by. I can still remember getting my last relaxer last July on this very day! Since then my hair has seen a lot of growth even considering that I've trimmed it 2 or 3 times over the past year. My new growth is looking good, I can see a visible curl pattern as well, though with the ...

Hey guys. So today I want to let you all know about how I keep my roots healthy even when they're in braids!

At night I make sure to spray my roots with warm water and cover it with a plastic cap or scarf. I've been meaning to get a silk/satin scarf and pillow but never got around to it. Though those are better for retaining moisture.

I also apply 'Soul mate hair conditioner plus' (with protein placenta and panthenol dail...

Box braids - 06/05/2013

Hey guys. So I thought i'd let you all know that right now my hair is in single box braids at bra strap length that's been in for about 3 weeks. The braids are thin in width yet not too thin. I used 2 packets of X-pression number 1 with a couple extra red coloured braids as 2 packets didn't seem to be enough.

Recently I co-washed my braids by filling 2 two spray bottles. One with diluted conditioner and the other with warm water. Making sure to rub ...

Celebrating 15 Weeks post relaxer this week and I found out that I really love Co-washing! Ever since I started it I found that it really helped my hair to feel soft, smooth, detangled and easily styled. To achieve this:

- First I parted my hair into 3 sections and clipped them out of the way.

- By halfing each section at a time I finger detangled my hair making sure there were no knots and applied my conditioner '
